Throughout the year, Harry Hynes Hospice participates in, hosts, and sponsors various fundraising events. Many of these events have occured annually and have become a staple in our communities for raising funds and awareness about hospice care.
Here’s a look at some of the amazing events you can be a part of:
Harry Hynes Heroes Luncheon
The Harry Hynes Heroes Luncheon is a biennial event held at the Wichita Botanica Gardens in March/April to honor the heroes of Harry Hynes.
This includes Harry Hynes Heroes Honor Wall, Founder’s Circle and Guardian Circle members.
Hynes Charity Golf Classic
The Harry Hynes Charity Golf Classic benefits patient care for our friends and neighbors, and is scheduled for the first Monday in May at Wichita Country Club in Wichita.
Get involved by signing up to golf or sponsor the event or a hole! Sponsorships are limited and will be sold first-come, first-served.

Charities, families, businesses and individuals around the world unite on social media to celebrate and encourage giving on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
Help Harry Hynes Hospice reach our fundraising goal by donating any amount to our programs and services.

Event Details
The Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Lanterns of Life Festival is a celebration of life offering lantern decorating and activity stations, food trucks, and live music. Festival admission is free and open to the public. Lanterns are available for purchase in advance for $25 each with a limited supply available the day of the event.
Lanterns can be decorated with your loved one’s name, image, colorful graphics or other remembrance. Be as creative as you want as it’s meant to be specific and special to you. Each comes with a battery-operated candle, vellum lantern and wooden platform.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Free parking is available at the Collective on East 21st and K-96 in Wichita. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on as seating is very limited, and proper sun protection is recommended. Purchased lanterns are the only items that can be launched and are not able to be returned. All will be collected after the float and ceremoniously burned.
The Lanterns of Life Festival will light up the night in remembrance of those no longer with us but burn lightly in our hearts. A soft, warm, golden hue glows brightly over the Memory Garden ponds, honoring those loved ones not only for the lives they lived but the lives they touched. It says they’ll never be forgotten.

Lights of Life
The Lights of Life tree is a bright, colorful, and joyful tree for all to see during the holidays in remembrance of family, friends, and members of our community whose memory shines in our hearts.
Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice is excited to bring back Wichita’s tallest holiday tree- the Lights of Life! Starting in November, the Lights of Life tree will brightly stand over 80 feet tall (the largest holiday tree in Wichita!) and illuminate downtown Wichita with over 3,200 festive lights.
A Lights of Life tree will shine brightly in Pittsburg, Oswego, Coffeyville, and Parsons.
All of this is done to celebrate the holidays and in remembrance of family, friends, and members of our community whose memory shines brightly in our hearts.

Support for the Lights of Life assists us in our mission enabling people to live with dignity and hope while coping with loss and terminal illness.
This outdoor event will include festive holiday music, refreshments, a brief welcome, a reflection in memory of each light that shines in memory of a loved one, and of course, the impressive moment when the tree is lit for the first time this season. Each Lights of Life tree with have an official tree lighting and remembrance ceremony. Specific days and locations will be shared closer to the event date.
The Lights of Life will glow all holiday season so our community can drive by and visit at any time.
